Bridal gowns for unique weddings are one of our favorite things to rent. Yes, we do rent bridal wear for women and men and because they are rentals, the savings are huge. Most of our gowns are hand dyed or embellished. Some of the gowns have been hand dyed to make them more unique and more beautiful. This also means they are one of a kind. Our gowns can be altered to fit within a size or two. We love the romance of the big gowns and they are not easy to find in the current retail market. We just need a few measurements and we can show you photos of all the gowns that will fit you. Your gown will be absolutely unique and with the money you save, you can spend on a more fabulous honeymoon.
If you look at modern bridal gowns they lack the romance and opulence of the gowns from the last few decades. The “Lace and Beadwork in Ecru” gown has “leg o’ mutton” sleeves, elaborate cut lace with beading, a long train and skirt which can be worn with a medium size petticoat or none at all as shown. The train has hooks to shorten it for the reception.
Romance in pale gold is the theme of this gown with no petticoat and sweeping hemline. This rayon silk hand-dyed gold satin sweeps to the floor with optional ties for bustle and shortening the train. Full sleeve tops lead to fitted lace from elbow to wrist and the scoop neckline is covered in beaded lace.
This vintage beige taffeta bridal gown has lace and beadwork in the off the shoulder bodice and lace details in the full skirt. Probably a one of kind from the 50’s, this one is really unique and the bodice is for fuller figures. This vintage bride could be accented with a traditional long veil in white which would blend with the lace embellishments.
We couldn’t resist throwing in a Steampunk Bride. Her grey and maroon matching bustle can be seen on this side view and she also needs to wear the extra-long lace “arm covers” or fingerless gloves or a pair of black leather gloves that go well past the elbow. This two piece look with decorated corset and long full grey taffeta skirt can fit almost any size bride. The skirt can be made fuller with a petticoat. The hats or headpieces for this outfit would include a matching tiny top hat or our Renaissance Riding hat style with detachable veil.
Here is one of the small bridal hats in steampunk style. We call it the Renaissance Riding hat style and can be made in any fabric or color with any length veil and in traditional bridal or steampunk style.
